Our products

Going directly to the source… every time and everywhere. Since 1987 we have encouraged direct relationships with producers as we believe that our main role involves identifying and controlling our sources of supply.

For more than 20 years now, we have deployed staff out in the field in France, Europe, Africa and America to live up to our commitments to both our producers and our clients.

A variety of sources

Just as each product has its regions, so each region has its seasons. Constantly seeking products offering the best possible taste and quality, for more than 20 years now we have selected the very best plots in each country.

Via our various sources of supply, (particularly the Mediterranean basin), we market a range comprising around a hundred different organic fruit and vegetable varieties.

Although the origins of our products are extremely diverse, the local spend from each site and the products produced by our production chains account for a major portion of our supplies :

  • ProNatura Brittany works with 70 local producers and markets their products including cauliflowers, artichokes, lamb’s lettuce and carrots, etc.
  • In Provence, we devote much of our range to the fruit and vegetables of south-eastern France including melons, tomatoes, courgettes, apricots and cherries.
  • In Belgium, Belgian products account for a large part of the ProNatura Belgium product range.
  • In Perpignan, Spain accounts for 70% of the volumes marketed from our hub in the Roussillon region.

Additionally, to enable our clients to offer a wide and varied range of organic fruit and vegetables, we add to our range by importing from other European countries (Italy and Spain), from North Africa, from West Africa (Ghana, Togo, Burkina Faso and Cameroon), from South America (Argentina and Chile), from New Zealand, from North America (the USA) and from the Pacific region (New Zealand).

The nutritional value of organic foods
Wholesome and healthy... these are the two main characteristics of organic foods which encourage consumers to buy them. An ever-increasing number of surveys and studies support this perception: the nutritional quality of organic foods is greater than that of other foodstuffs.

Organic fruit and vegetables provide a fine example. As they are not "crammed full" of synthetic chemical fertilisers, they contain less water and consequently more dry matter than conventional fruit and vegetables.
