In order to reduce the impact upon the environment caused by the transportation of our products we encourage solutions aimed at limiting "Food Miles" (the number of miles covered by a product before arriving at the consumer's table).

Our organic commitments

More than just a set of rules, organic farming represents a unique relationship between man and his natural and social environment. By marketing organic fruit and vegetables, we are committed to contributing to the growth of this production method including all of its human, ecological and economic aspects, in order to :

- Reconcile man with his environment, by re-establishing a link between the land and those who farm it.
- Give new meaning to the word "cultivate", by not only cultivating the land but also “cultivating” a greater awareness of just how precious it is to our existence.
- Contribute to preserving small-scale rural agriculture
- Reconciling consumers with farmers, by selling products which offer all of the food safety guarantees customers are looking for.
- Encouraging the farming of fruit and vegetable varieties with proven nutritional and taste characteristics
- Reconciling agricultural production and respect for the environment

"The environmental advantages of organic farming make this an important factor in the sustainable development of agriculture" Grenelle de l'environnement - Abstract from the report from working group No.4: "The adoption of sustainable production and consumption methods".

Vegetables from Brittany

Organised around ProNatura Brittany, this production chain involves some 70 farmers who entrust us with the task of marketing more than 4000 tonnes of cauliflowers, cabbages, artichokes, lamb’s lettuce, carrots, potatoes and shallots. It has played a key role in the growth of Brittany’s organic farming sector.
