Vegetables from Agadir
The partnership created in 2002 between ProNatura and a major market gardener in Agadir led to the launch of an integrated winter organic vegetable production chain. Today accounting for more than 8000 tonnes of vegetables, this is now Morocco's leading organic producer and a major source of supply for the European market.
Tomatoes, courgettes, peppers, cucumbers, potimarrons and melons are grown on 10 farms, either in the open fields or in unheated glasshouses, using farming techniques certified as organic by Ecocert and Globalgap.
