Our activities & our markets

Bananas are among our star products. This success is chiefly due to the creation of a banana ripening section in 2001, in the warehouse at Cavaillon (France). The 5 ripening chambers at ProNatura Provence enable us to ripen more than 3000 tonnes of bananas per year and to offer our clients (whether retailers, market traders or supermarkets) high-quality fruit ripened specifically to meet their needs. This ripening department is the only one of its kind in France exclusively devoted to organic bananas.

The mass retail sector

We supply the European mass retail sector from our various hubs and have been working with the main store chains since 1990.

Drawing upon the many benefits offered by our supply networks, our sites located in six fruit and vegetable production regions and our constantly improving logistical system, we have developed a high level of service based on:

  • Our capacity to keep our clients’ store shelves stocked all year round.
  • Our experience with organic farming thanks to the production chains that we have created.
  • Our knowledge of the market and our experience in the purchasing of organic fruit and vegetables.
  • Our know-how in areas such as certification and traceability in the fruit and vegetable sector and in organic agriculture as a whole.
  • Our packing and packaging activities on three of our sites.

They all put their trust in us! : Monoprix, System U, Cora, Atac,…

Pineapples from Togo

Based in Togo since 2005, ProNatura West Africa organises the production of organic pineapples grown by more than 350 farmers operating via 35 agricultural groups. As a flagship project proudly displaying the group's values, it seeks to transform the growing of food crops (which were sold in the local market at very low prices) into an export activity achieving higher prices and generating the income these farmers need to really be able to expand.
