Distribution certificates
In order to meet the food safety requirements of the mass retail sector, our packing plant in Provence have IFS and BRC (advanced level) certification.
These standards - IFS (International Food Standard) and BRC (British Retail Consortium) seek to ensure food safety across the entire food supply chain for private label products, and to improve quality at all processing stages.
These standards - IFS (International Food Standard) and BRC (British Retail Consortium) seek to ensure food safety across the entire food supply chain for private label products, and to improve quality at all processing stages.
The IFS is required by German distributors (Lidl, Edeka, etc.) and French stores (Monoprix, System U...) while the BRC is demanded by the British supermarkets (Sainsbury, Wal Mart, Tesco...).
Some of the farmers delivering to ProNatura have GlobalGap (formerly Europgap) certification. Created by the North European mass retail industry to harmonise best agricultural practices at an international level, this standard for fresh fruit and vegetables covers factors such as respect for the environment, food safety and agricultural workers.
